Matthew J. Baek is an illustrator, author, and educator with a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art. . He has written and illustrated eight children’s books, published by Penguin and other international publishers, with translations into multiple languages. Influenced by Post-Impressionists like Van Gogh, his signature swirling brushstrokes have become a hallmark of his work. As director of Stray Point Art Academy and founder of a non-profit supporting individuals with disabilities, Matthew is dedicated to helping others express themselves through the transformative power of art.
